Bayhawks, as we begin our indoor season and programs, please read through the Sherwood Forest Dome Complex protocols outlined below. All specifics related to programs (ie. Recreational, Competitive, etc.) are outlined below. It is important to note that the “General Dome Protocols” apply to all programs/rentals and any additional protocols will be outlined based on programs. 

We would also like to take this time to advise you of the key facts and safety measures that the domes naturally provide due to the nature of the structure. Find key airflow information about our domes here

March 22, 2022 Update

The City of Burlington’s Mask By-law, which was enacted in 2020, was repealed effective immediately (March 22, 2022). As a result of this, for those that access the Sherwood Forest Park Domes, you will no longer be required to wear a mask while in the domes. We will continue to support those that choose to wear a face mask while in the domes.

General Dome Protocols

Please be advised the protocols below apply to all programs/rentals. 

  • Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your scheduled session 
  • Prior to entering the dome complex, all are to complete the Covid-19 Manual Screening Questions that can be found at the entry to each dome.
  • We ask that all come ready for their sessions and leave promptly when session is completed. There is no changing inside the domes.
  • No water stations will be available, therefore bring ample water and ensure your bottle is labeled
  • Buffers are built in between all sessions to safely enter and exit the domes
  • Increased sanitization stations are present throughout the facilities and all are asked to sanitize prior to entering
  • High-touch surfaces are sanitized every hour
  • The entire facility is fogged at the end of the day with a DIN approved sanitizing agent

Youth Recreational Programs

Please find below particular protocols that only apply to our Youth Recreational Programs:

  • A 1:1 ratio of participant to spectator is allowed only for our youth recreational programs
  • All spectators are required to maintain social distance protocols (2m) and wear a mask throughout their duration in the domes

Adult Recreational Programs

Please find below the particular protocols that only apply to our Adult Recreational Programs:

  • No Spectators are allowed. No Exceptions.
  • A buzzer inside the dome will go 10 minutes prior to your scheduled game time – this signals you are welcome to enter the facility
  • 5-minutes prior to game time another buzzer will go, encouraging your team to take the pitch and finish preparations for your start
  • All games will begin on the hour and run for a consecutive 50 minutes (no stoppage time)

Competitive & High Performance Programs

Please find below the particulars that only apply to our Competitive & High Performance Programs:

  • A 1:1 ratio of participant to spectator is allowed 

Group Field Rentals

Please find below the particulars that only apply to our Group Field Rentals:

  • No Spectators are allowed. No Exceptions.
  • A buzzer inside the dome will go 10 minutes prior to your scheduled game time – this signals you are welcome to enter the facility
  • A buzzer inside the dome will go at the 50 minute mark of your rental – this signals that you must start vacating the field.
  • A buzzer will then go at the 55 minute mark which signals that you must vacate the domes.
  • All rentals will begin on the hour and run for a consecutive 50 minutes

Failure to comply with the above protocols can result in a ban from the Sherwood Forest Park Dome Complex.
