The Burlington Soccer Club is committed to assist with the ongoing development of all of our coaches. Our aim is to improve the quality and standard of all the coaches within the club. Ongoing coach development and education is vital for successfully developing players of all ages regardless of their ability or skill level.
Burlington Soccer Club is pleased to announce our February Coaching Development Clinic, which is aimed at coaches working within our Recreational (house league), Development, and OPDL programs. This clinic is not age specific, so is open to coaches working with players U6 and up. As with all of our clinics, they are designed to compliment the existing coach certification pathway and give the coaches additional information and experience, which will help build their own personal development.
Clinic Theme – “Maximizing the psychology of athletes to enhance performance”
Our February coach development clinic, is a presentation by Dr.Natascha Wesch, Mental Performance Consultant, and Assistant Professor at Western University in London. Natascha will present on “Maximizing the psychology of athletes to enhance performance”. This will also include a discussion on the “differences in coaching male athlete’s vs female athletes”. I was fortunate to hear Natascha’s presentation at the “COACHING THE FEMALE ATHLETE CONFERENCE in September. It was an excellent presentation, and we are pleased to secure her for our February clinic.
