The Burlington Soccer Club is proud to offer our Lil’ Burli program for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years old. This program focuses on physical literacy and fundamental movement skills, while giving your future star an introduction to soccer with fun games and activities. The program is designed to build confidence, develop movement skills and build the initial connection with sport. All sessions are held at Sherwood Forest Park Domes (indoor) and Brant Hills Park (outdoor). This program does require parent participation in each session.

What is Physical Literacy?

Physical literacy is about developing the fundamental movements that all children need such as running, jumping, catching and kicking. Children who are physically literate will be more confident playing games and will have more fun!

As suggested by Ontario Soccer guidelines, we ask parents to be active on the field with their child during these sessions. This offers several benefits such as helping the child with what may be their first steps into a social situation. This is also a great way to get in some exercise with your little bayhawk!
