Amal Chauhan - Executive Director

Amal claims to have been kicking a soccer ball since birth, but we all know it was actually when he turned One. After his first kick, his passion for sport grew and he started to play both organized soccer and hockey. He wanted to merge his two passions, sport and business, and this led him to the University of Toronto.  Amal has been involved in the beautiful game for over 30 years, having coached some Canadian Men’s National team members, and has been with the Burlington Soccer Club since 2019. He continues to work in non-profit sport as he has a desire to be a part of a community and support its development, specifically by helping kids remain active and learn life skills through sport participation.

Jerry Fahrer - Director of Finance

Jerry began his short-lived soccer playing career at the age of five. Despite being told he could have been great as a youngster as all he was missing was the skill, he found his calling later in life when he became a CPA. He took his accounting acumen to the Post-Secondary educational sector, where he worked his way through the ranks for 25 years. During that time, Jerry became passionate about the beautiful game as he became both involved with the club through the board but also coached his daughter on the pitch. His passion and drive for soccer grew as he saw the positive impact it had on his daughter and his hope is to continue to support the club and its next generation of soccer  player.

Samantha Stewart - Director of Marketing

Samantha played soccer her entire life, up until recently, when she realized she was far too injury prone (plus, her surgeon told her to “find another sport”). Having spent 25 years in the game as both a player (she played Division 1 and USports) and coach, she wouldn’t trade her experience for the world (or more cartilage). She has spent the last 13 years of her career in sport, specifically in soccer for 6 years. Her passion for sport and its impact on people (particularly women and girls) led her to complete her MBA Research paper on sports impact on women & girls transformational leadership skills. Samantha has been with the club since 2021. She loves the game, marketing, and learning, and looks forward to serving the Burlington Community through sport.

Fun Fact: Her favourite Gatorade flavour is Lemon-Lime.

Gordon King - Director of Operations

Gordon has been playing soccer since he was a young, 9 year old scotsman. Throughout his playing career, he was capped by Scotland Boys Clubs U18 and played semi-professional in Australia. His soccer career led him to the Ontario Soccer League (OSL) where he captained a few incredibly successful Bramalea teams. He has worked in soccer since 1992 in various capacities, primarily with a focus on leagues and facility management. Gordon’s drive for non-profit sport stems from his drive to give back to the game, his love for the game, and the people in the game. Plus, if you can’t tell, he loves being a part of a team. Gordon has been with the Burlington Soccer Club since 2016.

Shane Lammie - Director of Soccer

While he has a brief forray in finance, his passion has always remained with soccer. His passion took him from playing on the pitch to the sidelines and most recently was the Lead Technical Analyst, Scout and Tech Support for our Canadian Men’s National Team. In While a passionate soccer professional, Shane wants to give back to the game that has given him so much while providing our Burlington community with holistic development opportunities.
