The Burlington Soccer Club offers an OPDL Prep program designed to expose our players to the technical and tactical demands of the Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) Program. This is a six (6) week training program run by BSC technical staff and/or OPDL coaches and will be 90 minutes in duration. Open to all U11 and U12 Club members and non-members.
This program is professionally designed and structured with the Bayhawks methodology. Players in this program will receive the latest technical and tactical training methods, which have been created to improve the players individually, developing their tactical awareness and preparing them for the OPDL model of play.
Training sessions will improve and challenge the player’s ability in dribbling, passing, turning, shooting and first touch control. Small-sided games will be used to develop creativity, speed of movement, speed of play, and emphasize repetitive game situations such as 1v1, 2v2, etc. This program will also help the player develop their speed, balance, agility, and coordination.
