Ontario Soccer, in consultation with Canada Soccer and government advisors, have approved the ‘Return to Play Guide’ announced on June 8 for a safe return to soccer. As the Club continues to monitor the development of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on a daily and hourly basis, the BSC will move into Phase 1 as of July 6.
Phase 1 of 3 begins with the Return to Training, modified training, and will follow social distancing measures of 2M (6ft.). Small group activities will be introduced respecting the social distancing measures and recommendations. During this phase there will be no games and several health & safety measures in place for everyone’s safety. These measures include, but are not limited to, using sanitizer regularly (before, during and after soccer activities), using personal equipment (not sharing water bottles, bags, etc.), arriving and exiting the field at staggered times with immediate family (no carpooling), and more.
Prior to training, all players, parents, match officials and coaches with receive communications of full hygiene and health and safety procedures. For more information on the Return to Play Guide and the 3 phases to return to soccer, visit the Soccer Ontario website.
