As the Ho-Ho-Holidays are fast approaching, the Burlington Soccer Club in partnership with the Gift of Giving Back, launched a ‘Very BSC Christmas‘.
The event took place at the Sherwood Forest Park Domes on Sunday, December 5th from 9am – 2pm.
Santa was present to greet all of our members with candy canes, well wishes, and photo opportunities in his workshop. The Gift of Giving was there to continue their Holiday Tradition of “12 Days of Holiday Giving”, collecting non-perishable food donations in support of:
- Salvation Army
- Burlington Food Bank
- Compassion Society
- Halton Women’s Place
- Carpenter Hospice
- Food for Life
- Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK)
Thanks to our members, this one day event resulted in 256 lbs of food being donated this Holiday Season. As a result of these incredible result, we will continue to collect non-perishable food items at the domes until December 19th. Donations can be made in any of the labeled “Gift of Giving Back” blue bins located inside of the domes.
