The Animal Organizations
Each year, we select animal organizations to receive the funds from the day. This year, we will be supporting the Burlington Humane Society and Tangos Lead.
Burlington Humane Society –
What began as a small, community-led venture in 1974, expanded into one of the province’s premier non-kill shelters. The BHS believes that each and every animal coming into their care deserves a better life, and has the right to a safe and loving home. In addition to animal adoption and advocacy, this incredible nonprofit also does both community outreach and education, in addition to a Pet Therapy Program that visits retirement communities, hospices and so much more. Learn more about their programs and the animals available as they will be on site.
Tango’s Lead Canine Rescue –
Their mission is to provide a safe haven for those who find themselves homeless, abandoned or are
facing euthanasia while we find them a much deserved second chance.
Tango’s Lead has been and will continue to be the heart and home to many dogs. We work primarily with shelters who find themselves overwhelmed. While these pups are our focus, we also work together with the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and other remote Northern Communities. With the help of our incredible foster homes, we can find them the perfect humans to show them what living is all about
Founded in honour of the best, bad dogs and located right here in Guelph.
Who will be there?
This year, our vendor market is bigger than ever before! Come check out these local small businesses we will have onsite from 12:00pm to 5pm:
Autism Dog Services –
Autism Dog Services is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with autism and their families. Founded in 2017, their emphasis on excellence and matching the right dog with the right family has helped them provide more than 1,000 service animals to those who need them most.
Goosies –
Goosies was born out of a familiar pet-parent experience: constantly Googling questions like, “Is this toxic for my dog?” or “Can my dog eat this?” Looking for better answers and healthier options, Megan and her trusty business partner and taste-tester extraordinaire, Goose, set out to create something special. What started as an idea inspired by one curious pup has grown into a storefront and a staple in the pet treat community. From single-ingredient snacks to creative offerings like a dog-friendly grilled cheese, Goosies continues to take an innovative approach to treating our four-legged friends, ensuring both you and your pup are covered.
Instinct Canine Training –
At Instinct Canine Training, the focus goes beyond teaching commands. Through communication, trust, and clarity, owner and dog can build a stronger connection that lasts a lifetime. With over 10 years of experience and numerous accreditations and awards, Anna Marie offers a range of training programs designed to help dogs and their families develop an incredible bond.
Ren’s Pet –
Ren’s Pets is Halton through and through. With humble beginnings in Oakville, Ontario, this proudly Canadian company has grown to more than 60 stores across Ontario and the Atlantic provinces. They take pride in treating every pet like a member of the family, and with their wide selection and strong Canadian roots, we look forward to welcoming them to Pawther’s Day.
Splash & Dash –
Splash & Dash is a premier grooming salon in Burlington dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for both pets and their owners. With a focus on safe, convenient, and eco-friendly care, they provide top-quality grooming experiences for all of our furry friends.
Spoil the Dog Artisanal Bakery –
Spoil the Dog was born from a pair of devoted “pawrents” looking to help their furry family member, Mocha, with itchy paws. That journey sparked a deeper understanding of the importance of natural ingredients in pet treats and bakery items, inspiring the creation of a business dedicated to healthier options for dogs. From humble beginnings in 2005 to becoming both a beloved storefront and wholesaler today, we’re excited to welcome Spoil the Dog and all of their delicious “barkery” goodies.
