Player’s Spotlight – Kirsten Hahn

Recognizing Bayhawks Player, Kirsten Hahn, as our March Player Spotlight sponsored by Absolute Soccer! Kirsten is a tremendous multi sport athlete playing soccer, rugby, volleyball, field hockey, curling and so much more. She is very competitive, which has contributed to her long list of amazing accomplishments!

Starting soccer at the age of 4 in St. Catharines, Kirsten moved to Burlington in 2011 and has been a proud Bayhawks player ever since. Currently playing for the girls U17 team under Coach Casey Downey, Dino Colarossi and Bob McLaughlin, Kirsten is one of two captains. Some of her greatest assets to her team consist of her speed, determination, tenacity, positive mindset and her leadership. She is a power forward who enjoys scoring and it doesn’t go unnoticed!

Attending Dr. Frank J. Hayden Secondary School, Kirsten has already received soccer scholarship offers from South Dakota University and Western Carolina University going into her grade 11 year. She has verbally committed to playing D1 soccer on a full-ride scholarship to Western Carolina University.

Some recent accomplishments include being the 2019 recipient of the Golden Boot Award and League Winner for the OWSL Provincial Elite U21 League for soccer. In addition to soccer, she was selected for the 2019 Ontario West U16 Rugby team and selected as a 2019 non-travel reserve for U18 Canada East Rugby team. Kirsten is currently training with other potential women rugby players at the Canadian Institute of Sport Ontario (CISO) and has also been invited to play for Vancouver in the U18 Rugby 7’s Vancouver National Tournament.
