This Summer, a few of our male Bayhawk OPDL Players had the opportunity to attend the TFC Academy to showcase their skills. Throughout the process, one of our very own, Joshua Nias, was selected to join this prestigious academy and take his soccer journey from BSC to TFC.
While we’ll miss him in Blue and Yellow, we certainly can’t wait to support him as he sports Red in the future.

Recognizing Bayhawks Player, Kirsten Hahn, as our March Player Spotlight sponsored by Absolute Soccer! Kirsten is a tremendous multi sport athlete playing soccer, rugby, volleyball, field hockey, curling and so much more. She is very competitive, which has contributed to her long list of amazing accomplishments!
Bayhawks Alumni, Morgan McAslan, had great success at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Morgan spent 5 years goalkeeping with the Bayhawks under coach Casey Downey and continued on to earn amazing achievements and set impressive records in her sophomore year.
Bayhawks Alumni, Amanda West, had an incredible 2019 season with the University of Pittsburgh soccer team setting the program points record and tying the single-season program record for goals as a Panther freshman!
Congratulations to our U14 OPDL Bayhawks team player, Jian Sweiss, invited to train in the Ontario Regional EXCEL (REX) Super Centre from Oct 28-30, 2019 for October Screening. Identified at Provincial Screening, Jian has seen great success through hard work and determination.
Jian Sweiss, also known as Jiji, plays for the Burlington Bayhawks U13 Girls OPDL team as an attacking midfielder. This Fall, Jiji will have the opportunity to travel to Madrid to train with CD Leganes women’s team. CD Leganes has a very high standard of play for their women’s teams playing in the top 2 divisions of Spanish women’s soccer.

Burlington alumni, Jace Kotsopoulos, continues on his path of soccer success to make it to the Canadian Premier League as a striker for Hamilton Forge FC.
